BRAZILIAN GAMERS DONATE US$150K CHARITY PRIZE TO UNICEF IN FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

Brazilian gamers,representing elite team FaZe Clan,have won an international esports tournamentshowdown that is donating to charities in the fight against COVID-19.
FaZe Clan united with other LATAM and North American Rainbow Six: Siege teams (Ninjas in Pyjamas, E-United, Oxygen E-Sports) for the ‘Gamers Without Borders’tournament - a US$10 million charity esports seasonbringing together the world’s best esports athletes.
The in-form Brazilian squadenjoyed a 3-1 series win over Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) across the Club, Border, Consulate, Kafe and Villa maps and donated their US$150k(watch here)prize fund to UNICEF.
In the North American bracket Oxygen Esports defeated E-United to also donate US$150k to charity (click here).

THE CHARITY

UNICEF supports vulnerable children and families. As part of the COVID-19 relief efforts, the charity will ensure families and frontline healthcare workers receive the supplies they need to be safe from infection.These include vital medical equipment, hand washing supplies, remote learning, child protection and mental health services. ‘Gamers Without Borders’ has partnered with a range of global COVID-19 charities including UNICEF, International Medical Corps (IMC), GAVI The Vaccine Alliance, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) and Direct Relief.
