He continued: “I follow soccer, and while I don’t really follow any team in particular, I absolutely love the players and I’m fascinated with them. And when they do a super team like Real Madrid or Barcelona I love to see them get out and join forces no matter which country they’re from”.
The pair have put on an incredibly entertaining performance with US$100,000up for grabs: US$75,000 going to the winner’s charity of choice, and US$25,000 to the loser’s selected organisation.
With Snoop taking the first win with a 1 – 0 lead, in the end it was Kerwin Frost who triumphed, seeing off Snoop’s Real Madridside 0-1in Game 2 and Game 3 as he played as the 2018 FIFA World Cup winners France, donating $75,000 to UNICEF to support their COVID-19 response, with Snoop Dogg donating the remaining $25,000 to UNICEF.
Speaking about his time in lockdown, the hip – hop icon said: “Everybody from my family is good. We’re trying to make the best of the situation and make sure we’re safe when we get out there and make sure we’re doing the right things to prevent coronavirus from coming back. Keep safe, keep gaming and we’ll be out soon; but in the meantime, it’s in the game!”.
Showmatch winner Kerwin Frost said: “To be playing alongside Snoop Dogg is good enough, but to be knowing that we will be actually helping people with this is a double win and it’s amazing”.
He continued: ‘To be honest, I’ve played the game (FIFA 20) for the first time 2 days ago. There was a lot of pressure because Snoop was a football coach for a long time so it’s like he knows about playing and I had to bring my A Game, so I reached out to one of my fans who trained me for 2 days.”
